As used in herbal medicine, this is the pure oil from the root. Excellent for digestive upsets, especially due to nervous tension and stress. Very relaxing and grounding. Aids the temporary relief of: coughs, pain of rheumatism, nervous tension and insomnia. It has mild anti-coagulant properties, useful for mild bruising and sprains. Photosensitising above 0.78% concentration. |

Rich in methyl chavicol; considered to be the best anti-spasmodic Basil. Calming, relaxing and warming. A gentle antiseptic oil, Bergamot is useful for infectious complaints such as sore throats and cystitis. This ACO certified organic Bergamot oil has had almost all of the bergaptene removed (to less than 0.0015%), the primary compound responsible for photo-sensitisation.
