True Sweet Marjoram – not the less expensive Wild Marjoram (T. mastichina) with quite different attributes. Appreciated as a strong relaxing, anti-spasmodic oil, it is strengthens the parasympathetic nervous system. This makes it useful for muscular complaints – rheumatism and muscular pain and spasm, neuralgic pain, arthritis and on. It is similar to Tea Tree oil in its anti-infectious power. Highly lemon-scented, May Chang has similar applications to Lemongrass. The herb has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for its anti-inflammatory nature. Properly diluted, it is considered a useful astringent essence in skin care, for oily skin and hair and excessive perspiration. All lemon-scented oils have good insect repellent properties. |

A Sweet Tea Tree oil that contains a high amount of soothing linalool, compared to terpinen-4-ol in ‘standard’ Tea Tree. It has a lovely, soft aroma – less medicinal than Tea Tree. A gentle antiseptic and anti-infectious oil, it can be used like Tea Tree. Useful for respiratory complaints. It is calming and relaxing in nature and is useful in massage blends, suited well for children. |

Really true Melissa oil (!) and certified organic. The herb has been used since antiquity in western herbal medicine and much of its activity is due to the essential oil content.
